Q: What makes SJFC special?
A: I have had the good fortune to work with many of the same people for more than 15 years at South Jersey Fertility Center. We are truly a family. It is so nice to know that we all are committed to a common goal: To help our patients build their families.
Q: What is the most rewarding part of your job?
A: Of course sharing the joy of a positive pregnancy test is the absolute best part! Just as rewarding is helping an individual or couple through a decision to pursue a particular treatment. For many, after months of worry and fear, having a plan is empowering.
Q: What do you think is the most interesting service/technology that fertility has to offer?
A: I think the ability to freeze eggs is one our most interesting services. For women faced with treatment of cancer which can harm fertility or women who are not ready to conceive, it can offer peace of mind. For women who want to delay childbearing for a later time, it can give them the power to control their biological clock.
Q: If you could give patients trying to get pregnant one piece of advice, what would it be?
A: We fully understand how fertility testing and treatment can be overwhelming and stressful. I’d suggest considering yoga, meditation or exercise to help manage the stress. We have a care team that is here to support you through every step of your journey.
