Q: Why did you become a reproductive endocrinologist?
A: I have always been interested in women’s health, and have always found the technology and science and what the it allows us to achieve fascinating. And for me, there is no greater reward than helping people achieve their dreams of having a family. I could not imagine doing anything else.
Q: What do you think is the most interesting service/technology that fertility has to offer?
A: I think the ability to test an embryo to prevent certain disease or genetic abnormalities before pregnancy has been an amazing advancement.
Q: What do you do for fun?
A: I love to travel, attend sporting events and concerts, and I find needlepoint to be a very relaxing hobby.
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
A: I would love to go to Thailand, to experience a new culture, eat their great food and spend time on beautiful beaches…. and definitely play with elephants!
Q: If you could tell patients trying to get pregnant one piece of advice, what would it be?
A: I would say to do your best to stay hopeful. There is usually a way to help everyone be successful. Sometimes it may not be in the amount of time or way we originally think it will happen, but trust that we do everything in our power to give you the success you want and deserve.
